La Pampa offers outstanding opportunities for Fallow Deer hunting, with healthy populations and consistently strong hunting results. The experience becomes particularly special during the rut, when mature bucks are highly active and their distinctive grunting can be heard across the hunting grounds.

The Fallow Deer rut takes place from mid-March through mid-April. During this period, bucks become particularly aggressive as they compete for breeding opportunities, and it is not uncommon to witness intense fights between mature males.

The hunt is conducted primarily through spot-and-stalk hunting on foot, taking advantage of the natural terrain to approach these alert and elusive animals. The varied landscape of La Pampa, including open grasslands, wooded areas, low brush and natural clearings, provides an ideal setting for this challenging style of hunting.

Fallow Deer can be hunted through mid-September, before the bucks begin to shed their antlers. The species also makes an excellent addition to broader Red Stag hunting programs, allowing hunters to pursue different deer species during the same Argentine safari.
